Scientific Games extends deal in US lottery market

The Ohio Lottery Commission has extended its primary instant games contract for two years with Scientific Games, which currently provides games, technology and services to more than 150 lotteries globally, including nearly every one in North America.

In addition to instant games, the company has begun rolling out SalesMaker in Ohio, a successful lottery retail development and training program. Scientific Games also provides the Lottery with research and consumer studies, licensed properties, and interactive services.

In fiscal year 2016, the Ohio Lottery ranked among the Top 20 lotteries worldwide for total instant game sales (La Fleur's Almanac). Scientific Games has been the Lottery's primary provider of instant games since 2001.

During its 16-year partnership, Scientific Games and the Ohio Lottery have innovated top-selling instant games together including Holiday Cash, Cash Explosion 30th Anniversary, Luck of the Irish and, most recently, Gigantix instant games.

Scientific Games' John Schulz, Senior Vice President, Instant Products, said: "We are honored to continue working with the Ohio Lottery to grow instant game revenue, introducing exciting new games that appeal to players and that are supported by a best-in-class retail program."

Currently, Scientific Games provides games, technology and services to more than 150 lotteries globally, including nearly every North American lottery.
