Fecoljuegos advances in a reform of games of chance concepts

The union of games of chance in Colombia, Fecoljuegos, said that they advance in a technical table with Coljuegos (regulator and administrator of the monopoly of games of chance in the country) and the Ministry of Finance to pass a decree that will end with the temporality of previous concepts and expedite the permits in the cities.

According to the president of Fecoljuegos, Evert Montero, the request had been extended for some time to the Presidency of Coljuegos, which, in turn, decided to articulate the work with the Ministry of Finance to analyze the desirability of a decree and promote its respective formulation.

"The message is tranquil, we are in a period of observations to the draft decree and we hope that both Coljuegos and Minhacienda continue with speed in its approval," said the president.

The union official acknowledged that he has been participating in several technical tables in which it has been agreed on the urgency to eliminate the previous concepts as a measure of efficiency, anticorruption and modernization of the procedures in the regions for the localized operators.

"We must work among all, both unioins and government, so that every decision that is implemented favors operators in the sector of games of chance," concluded Montero.
