Henrique Meirelles: "There are big companies interested in Lotex"

Brazilian Finance Minister, Henrique Meirelles, said that it is possible for the government to carry out the privatization and concession of public assets announced this week until 2018. According to him, the projects were well structured and this should attract investors more easily.

"We have had a lot of interest from investors at Eletrobras, and there are big companies interested in Lotex," said Meirelles, confirming Games Magazine Brazil's announcement that major international lottery companies such as IGT, Intralot and Scientific Games have shown interest in keeping with the " raspadinha” (scratch card) concession.

Meirelles used the Congonhas airport as an example of the privatization process. Fighting criticism of the government's decision to sell it, Meirelles said Guarulhos airport is better today than when it belonged to the government.

According to the minister, the process of privatization will be present in different parts of the country in several areas.
