Positive performance in Jamaica and Argentina

Intralot sees revenues up by 15%

International gaming solutions and operations provider Intralot saw 15.1 % revenue growth as it announced its financial results for the six month period ending 30 June, 2017. The company has said that its performance during the mentioned period represents a “turning point” for the firm.

Revenue in the first half came in at €733.2m, which represents an increase of 15.1% in the €636.9m posted in the same period last year.

Intralot Group CEO, Antonios Kerastaris, commented: "Continued double digit revenue growth and profitability improvements are directly linked to reforms implemented in the previous year and more specifically to our M&A and partnership strategy.”

"Strong local partnerships offer portfolio diversification, local market knowledge, and an asset light structure in addition to economies of scale and new strong revenue streams,” Kerastaris added.

The firm saw its revenues jump by 17.9 % compared with the year before to €733.2m. The boost came mostly from increases sales in Bulgaria and Poland, which together contributed €39.9m in revenues, thanks to the consolidation of Intralot’s acquisition of Eurobet in Bulgaria, and regulatory changes in Poland.

Additionally, €29.8m stemmed from an increase in Jamaica’s top line performance, and the improved performance in Argentina.

However, the firm’s net debt had reached €516.8m, after growing by €21.9m since the end of last year. The company puts this down to the decision to invest in software and its Eurobet acquisition.

"Significant progress and strong trust from our clients have registered in mature and very competitive markets such as the United States. The company’s ability to renew in a competitive market such as the US, on top of its historical renewal track record, creates fresh confidence for the extension of all contracts maturing in the next year,” Kerastaris concluded.
