"This type of business does not go with the essence of the destination, which is sun, beach, gastronomy and Mayan culture,” said Lotito.
"We prefer businesses that promote the great variety of handicrafts and foods of which Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula are rich. Fun and gaming in its various aspects should not be the only attraction of our destination, we have much more to offer," insisted Lotito.
Since last July 31, Tequila Barrel
facilities are being dismantled to give way, according to its employees, to the
four-story building that will house the casino by the end of the year.
Through its Facebook page, Tequila Barrel Bar and Casino announced that the
opening of the new facilities will be in December, while they will continue to
inform their followers about the evolution of the construction of the project.
For Ricardo del Valle Prieto, general secretary of the Bars and Clubs Association, who confirmed the announcement made by Tequila Barrel Bar, the opening of the future casino is good news, as it will make more diverse attractions in the Riviera Maya.
