GTA’s CEO, Ross Ferrar, commented that the exhibition’s return to the centre of the city had been long-awaited, following the old International Exhibition Centre being pulled down to make way for the ICC.
"This week,
we start building the event," he said. "After five years of planning,
it’s a pleasure and a challenge to be back at Darling Harbour. It is a pleasure
because ICC Sydney is a great venue, and a challenge because we’re building
many more stands than ever before. No effort has been spared to make sure that
visitors will be dazzled and entertained by the event and its exhibitors.
"With digital show bags, cutting-edge signage, an "ask me" event team
and many other new features, we’re making sure that visitors experience much
more than they ever have before,” Ferrar ended.
AGE is already the largest in the 28-year history of the event.
