No impediments for Caixa to participate in the process and to operate LOTEX

At the Public hearing held today in Rio de Janeiro, it became clear that Caixa may participate in the bidding process, individually or as part of a consortium, and that the Loterica network will only sell the products if the winner has an agreement with Caixa and/or Lotericos. The largest players in the industry (IGT, Intralot and Scientific Games, among others) were present, and also renowned lawyers such as Drs. Edgar Lenzi, Roberto Brasil Fernandes and Luiz Felipe Maia.

The results of the Public Hearing will be published in a report, which will be published in the Project Information Room.

The present ones made questions focused on process safety, legal guarantee, minimum price evaluation, among other topics and that were answered by the team.

It is clear that Caixa may participate in the bidding process, individually or as part of a consortium, and that the Lotérica network will only sell the products if the winner has an agreement with Caixa and/or Lotéricos.

"It is clear the interest of key international corporations, as well as companies that seek to gather for the dispute through a consortium, in addition to funds willing to finance the operation. However there are fears regarding political and legal instability, state lotteries , legalization or not of other types of games, and the fight against illegal gamblin," comments Edgar Lenzi of BetConsult consultancy.
