ANNIVERSARY
For 55 years, CAIXA has innovated in the availability of the most varied lotteries to the Brazilian population, allowing the
bettor a range of options to try their luck. Today, CAIXA Lotteries have 9 ways to realize the dreams of Brazilians, but throughout their 55 years were more than a dozen other different lottery modalities offered to ensure entertainment and great rewards to bettors. Many were the achievements in this trajectory. Among the most noteworthy, we can mention the drawdowns in the Truck of Sorte (1980), the implementation of the online lottery system (1998), the internalization of the operating systems of the Lotteries (2006), the launch of CAIXA Bolão (2011) and the creation of the special thematic draws of Mega da Virada (2009), Quina de São João (2011), Lotofácil da Independência (2012) and Douro de Pascua (2017).
SOCIAL REPAYMENTS
The CAIXA Lotteries are also an important source of funds for various programs and projects aimed at social development in our country. Deusdina dos Reis Pereira, "investments in the social area make CAIXA Lotteries a partner of Brazilians." Only in the first 8 months of 2017, more than R$ 4.1 billion (USD 1.3b) were
transfered to sports, social security, student financing, culture, health and safety of citizens. "Thus, CAIXA Lotteries contribute to improving the lives of all Brazilian citizens, even those who have never bet on any modality.”
PROJECTS
The CAIXA Lotteries continue to work to modernize and to evolve, in line with the advancement of new technologies and processes of governance,
security and transparency, which has ensured the achievement of international safety and responsible gaming certifications. As part of this agenda, CAIXA Lotteries plan to launch, in 2017, its Internet portal for the sale of Internet Lottery, in which all Brazilian citizens over 18 years old can bet on Lotteries, regardless of having a bank account. All current modalities will be available, such as Mega-Sena, Lotofácil,
Quina and others. This launch will broaden the population's access to the CAIXA Lotteries with another service channel, further democratizing the service and giving more comfort to the
bettor, as well as inaugurating the entry of the CAIXA Lotteries in the virtual world, in line with the market trend. In addition, the planning for the coming months includes the launch of a new lottery mode and the change in some features of the already existing modalities, as well as in the CAIXA Bolão. This way, the plan is always to give society new tools to contribute to maximizing the results of the Lotteries and the benefits it generates.
PAYOUTS
Specifically on CAIXA Lottery payout, the percentage of
premium collection is defined in current legislation, and CAIXA works together with the Ministry of Finance to find solutions and innovations that contribute to the occurrence of increasingly attractive prizes for bettors.
LOTEX
CAIXA, in its capacity as a 100% public company, performs the public services provided by law and, for 55 years, has administered exclusively the Federal Lotteries. The new modality provided by Law 13,155 / 2015 provided the Federal Government with the option of a new way of operating this modality, which differs from those under the management and administration of CAIXA. It is worth mentioning, for example, that the main mission of federal lotteries is to raise funds for social redistribution, so CAIXA prevails in fulfilling its important social role. As the holder of the concession right, it is the responsibility of the Ministry of Finance to define the best exploration model for LOTEX and the option for indirect exploration, by means of concession, deals with an alternative provided by law that was selected at that time. The bidding process considers different stages, in which interested parties can ask about their doubts and questions, and it is also up to the Ministry of Finance to assess whether the scope defined for the concession will be relevant and important for all parties involved in the LOTEX operation.
SPORTS BETTING
Finally, with regard to sports betting and legalization of other games in Brazil, CAIXA performs the public services provided by law and, depending on specific legislation that deals with this subject, will always be at the disposal of the Federal Government to act in that and in the most appropriate manner.
