Under the agreement, Scientific Games and IGT will be able to offer games using patented game features from each other's portfolios, as well as those of other members of the IGT slot game features pool. Financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
While with the signing of this agreement both companies will be able to explore growth opportunities together, in other markets they will seek to differentiate themselves and enter into a new and attractive market: the Brazilian lottery sector.
The national government has already announced the privatization of
Lotex.There, both companies will surely participate in the process of
consession of the locally popular "
raspadinha” (scratch card), which seeks to define a private operator before the end of the year.
