JOCS SA presented on Tuesday night the two projects with which it opts for the public tender for the future Andorra casino: the emblematic building of Caldea, in Escaldes-Engordany, and the exclusive use building for Prat de la Creu, in Andorra la Vella. About 500 people witnessed the spectacular staging that served to give the details of the proposals.
The event brought together a large representation of the business, social and political world of Spain in an evening that aimed to expose the main axes of both projects, as well as share the business, tourism and social objectives that underpin both proposals, which have the strategic alliance with Novomtic.
Those responsible for presenting the projects before the attending public were the CEO of JOCS SA, Marc Martos, the general director of NOVOMATIC GAMING SPAIN, Bernhard Teuchmann, the poker professor and expert in tournament organization, Juan de Diego, and the architect editor of the architectural proposals, Pere Espuga.
The proposal of Prat de la Creu consists on a building exclusive for gaming, with four floors in height and two underground, for parking. The project also includes the cession of a public space that will allow the widening of the Plaça del Poble and give centrality to this point of the capital of the country.
Regarding Caldea, the proposal adapts the activity of the casino and the range of complementary activities to the 3000 square meters that the building has reserved for this use. The investments planned to make both proposals a reality are 15 million euros, in the case of Prat de la Creu, and 17.6 million of total investment, for Caldea.
Both projects have been conceived with the clear intention of being an element of tourism and economic dynamism that sets the goal of providing 193,000 visitors a year with an annual economic impact of 95 million euros during the first year of operation. These figures are complemented by a 10-year projection that contemplates a gradual increase until reaching 217,000 annual visitors at the end of this period. In terms of economic impact, the volume of job creation stands out as well: 162 for Prat de la Creu and 126 for Caldea.
