This afternoon, in Brasilia, it will take place the first of four meetings planned to know and define how it affects and how can coexist the new LOTEX, the official lotteries and the capitalization operators in the market after last week's announcement. Representatives of the Ministry of Finance, Secretary of Fiscal Assistance, Energy and Lottery (SEFEL), Caixa Econômica and the Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP) will be part of the meeting.

The meeting will begin at 3pm with the presence of Alexandre Manoel (Secretary of Fiscal Affairs, Energy and Lottery), Waldir Eustáquio (General Coordinator of Governance of Prizes and Drawings of the Ministry of Finance), Vanessa Almeida (Procurator of General Legal Coordination -CJU- of the Attorney General of the National Treasury -PGFN-), Gilson Braga (National Superintendent of Caixa Loterias), Valter Gonçalves Nunes (VP of Government Funds and Caixa's Lotteries) and Joaquim Mendanha (SUSEP Superintendent).

As this mechanism could offer some degree of shadowing to those of instant lottery prizes and the operation of other lottery modalities, currently operated by the Caixa Econômica Federal, the Ministry of Finance established a working group that must formulate a proposal for the regulation of Capitalization Bonds that make these securities feasible, but which have a distinctive feature and operation different from the lottery modalities, removing any legal uncertainty, contributing to a better business environment and thus preserving the interests of the betting public and also the alleged bidders of the Lotex auction.

From today and in the coming days, the authority will participate in technical meetings, with the participation of the Secretariat of Fiscal Monitoring, Energy and Lotteries (Sefel), Caixa Econômica Federal and the Attorney General of the National Treasury (PGFN) with the purpose of clarifying doubts on the part of the Secretariat.
