Brazilian pre-candidate for president now opens the door to gaming legalization

Although 'in principle' contrary to the release of casinos and games of chance, the pre-candidate for Planalto Jair Bolsonaro (PSL-RJ) said that there is a possibility of approval of legislation authorizing the activity, now illegal, during his government. The assignment, however, would be a task of the units of the Federation.

"There is the possibility, I say one possibility, that each state can decide. In principle I am against, but we will see the best way out," said PSL pre-candidate, speaking at the Rio de Janeiro Trade Association (ACRJ).

However, he said, "we can not let anyone go to the bakery to buy a loaf of bread and come back having spent money in slot machines."

Technical boards

Leader of the polls, in scenarios without former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT), the federal deputy said that if elected, his ministers will be technical boards, not indicated in negotiations for votes with the parties.

According to the pre-candidate, any other Planalto candidate who already had 20% of the voting intentions, like him, would have the government completely bundled at this point.

"Many journalists ask me how I would have governability, but what we have today is assaults," he said during a speech at the Rio de Janeiro Trade Association.
