During World Cup Russia 2018

Iker Casillas, new Sportium ambassador

There are only a few weeks until the kick-off of the World Cup Russia 2018, which coincides with the tenth anniversary of Sportium, the number 1 betting house in Spain. For this reason, the company wanted to celebrate both events with one of the most important figures in the history of Spanish football, Iker Casillas, new ambassador of the brand.

The former national captain will thus act as ambassador of the Official LaLiga Betting House during these weeks of competition, in which the company will promote the values of passion, struggle and leadership that characterize the brand and that have led it to achieve so many successes.

Iker Casillas will begin this collaboration with Sportium tomorrow (May 30th) at 6:00 p.m. in a ceremony that will take place in the new headquarters of LaLiga, and in which Alberto Eljarrat, CEO of the betting house, will deliver the Sportium Trophy in recognition of a career of more than two decades, which continues to add success after his renovation as FC Oporto goalkeeper, in Portugal.

On this agreement and the award, Eljarrat said: "In Sportium we wanted to have the best ambassador for the football event par excellence and one of the most important sporting events in the world. He fully represents the values of our brand. Casillas is an example of how through effort, sportsmanship and self-improvement you can maintain success during 20 years of professional career and continue to be number one."

Iker commented: "I am delighted to live this World Cup with Sportium, a leading brand and very committed to football since always."

The event will feature the participation of Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, with which Sportium has renewed its collaboration agreement as Official Sponsor. In addition, the sports journalist Manu Carreño will act as master of ceremonies, interviewing Casillas about his current stage in the Portuguese League as well as his impressions of the 2018 World Cup.
