“I anticipate the day will come when Clarion moves Juegos Miami to Brazil”

Tom Nieman, JCM Global VP of Marketing, said when he thinks of Juegos Miami, the prospect for gaming being legalized in Brazil comes to mind. He recalls conservations three to four years ago with Clarion Gaming about “sticking a flag” into the Latin American market, and higlights the future key role of the Brazilian market in the continent’s gaming industry.

Talking about Juegos Miami that ends today, Nieman says: “We always anticipate this show because the Latin American market is a vibrant one and if and when Brazil comes on board, it will be the one of the largest gaming markets in the world,” Nieman said.

Juegos Miami organizers and backers thought it was important to build this show starting in Miami because market research indicated higher-level people in the Latin American market had residences in Miami and loved to go there, Nieman said.

“We can keep this in the U.S. and target it 100 percent to the Latin American market, but I anticipate the day is going to come where they take this show and move it down to Brazil,” Nieman said.

Even without Brazil in the mix, the Latin American market “is pretty good on its own,” Nieman said. In that region, JCM uses more of a distribution approach than a direct approach. It has someone who coordinates with the distributors in the various markets.

“We have a number of distributors down there, and they will all be up and then the actual end user customers will be up as well,” Nieman said. “It’s a great chance for us to see them.”

JCM has core currency transaction equipment and core transaction printing hardware. The company has what it calls “gaming-changing technology” in FUZION, which is at the core of the future-ready casino floor.
