Costing US$400,000 sign, it was designed by Young Electric Sign Company (YESCO). The 12 feet tall script is a colour-changing LED sign with a collection of casino-related objects in front of it including a roulette wheel, casino chips and dice.
Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman said: “This really is a tribute to the history of Las Vegas. It’s a fun-filled sign. It’s light and it’s airy. The seal is really about serious, professional business. Showgirls are part of our history and our culture.”
“They’re a brand that’s better than Coca Cola. It’s a brand that’s better than Google. It’s the brand of Las Vegas. We know they’re going to be great photo ops. Hopefully people will just love it,” Goodman added.
The Stratosphere will offer free parking to the west of the sign, just south of The Stratosphere in about a month’s time.
