Still under study

Caixa may have new corporate logo after elections

The Brazilian state-owned bank will have a new visual identity ready to be implemented in documents, cards, lottery and branches. According to the Metro Jornal website, the first version of the logo was ready and was approved by the Caixa Council. The final study, with official costs, is due by September 12.

The mentor of the logo change was Nelson Antônio de Souza, Caixa's current president, who, by rolling up drawers upon his appointment on April 2, rescued a 2016 study dealing with a possible change.

He then instructed the 12 vice-presidents that the replacement be approved to be a "mark" of his management at the bank. In 2017, there has been a change, but without modifying colors or requiring an adaptation of the magnitude of the new brand, although also with subtle changes.

The new logo must be officially presented to the public only after next october presidential election, since advertising is prohibited during the period. But a model agency is already starting to be assembled in the headquarters building in Brasilia.

The information began to be cleared last month and were confirmed with two sources from the bank, who even shared the image of the new visual identity.

Better situation in Caixa

Caixa recorded US$ 1.6 billion in the first half of this year. The good result encouraged the bank executives, who already glimpsed not needing the federal contribution. The Basle index, which reached 14.41% between January and June of last year - close to the required limit of 14% -, recorded in the same period of this year 19.1%. The government will still return up to 25% of the profits to shareholders and depending on the results by the end of the year can definitely suspend the bailout. "We are moving further away from this," said Souza last week.
