The meeting agreed for today at 2pm in Brasilia will involve the Secretary of the Fiscal, Energy and Lottery of the Treasury Ministry (SEFEL), the National Development Bank (BNDES), the Court of Accounts of the Union (TCU) and technicians of the Partnership Program of Investimentos (PPI).
After hearing the reasons of the companies not to present a proposal in the last deadline of offers and with the annulment of MP 841 (replaced by MP 846) that generated so much uncertainty in foreign companies, the parties consider that it is time to move forward to define the best continuation strategy for the privatization of LOTEX.
After taking the time to analyze, the agencies will present today their proposals for future steps and the TCU will endorse and authorize one of these plans or a final proposal will be agreed upon.
