The sociological movement pointing to the end of the ban on gambling is rooted in a combination of factors. Online gaming is one of the most important. Here it is important to pay attention to the movement that happened in Tocantins. Candidate for Governor Ronaldo Dimas took an earlier idea of creating the so called "Las Vegas do Cerrado": a special area dedicated to the promotion of gambling and other entertainment industries. The justified objective would be to develop an economically limited region using gambling as a tool - just like Las Vegas and the Nevada desert, a much poorer American state than its neighbor California.
If the bill moves forward, would there be no room for a “bahiana” Las Vegas in the southwest of the sate?
