Among many subjects discussed, atendees heard from two lawmakers from the commission dealing with the important tips on how to manage the business based on international experiences, taking advantage of the event to do important networking.

Last November 20-22, the Brazilian Gaming Congress brought together future investors of the gambling market to address key questions about the possibilities to operate future businesses after regulating gambling in the country. The event was held in Sao Paulo.

Among many subjects discussed, atendees heard from two lawmakers from the commission dealing with the important tips on how to manage the business based on international experiences, taking advantage of the event to do important networking.

Games Magazine Brasil spoke with Sérgio Jardim, President of Clarion -organizer of the congress- who said that all the businessmen that traveled to Sao Paulo to attend the BGC left the event with a positive look at the future of the gambling industry in Brazil.

"All the people is very interested on how to participate in the upcoming Brazilian gambling market. We present a very broad discussion, all modalities were discussed by experts in the field, and the idea is to show how to participate in this market based on what the law Is proposing.”

Jardim also said that Brazil is the largest market in the world where gambling industry has not yet been legalized, and that the great population in some regions and requirements of the law in process will take the investments to the whole national territory.

"The gaming options, the attractions, depend on a larger population. That’s why the cities or regions with largest populations will certainly receive the largest amount of investments," said Clarion’s President.

"There is also a concern in the legislation to help certain regions. Casinos, for example, have to meet a requirement that says that two-fifths of the projects must be placed in the north, center-west and northeast, which will end up directing some investments there," concluded Jardim.
